Discover How Your Home May Be Exposed to Burglars and What You Can Do To Prevent It
Did you know that most residential burglaries happen during
the day? Why, because today so many people
are regularly away from
their house.
Just try to get someone on
the phone who
is actually
at home during the day. Lets face
it, we are
constantly on the go.
We are either working,
doing errands, taking our kids to soccer, music lessons, or you name
it. And who else
is aware of this thats right, burglars!
Police
will tell you that many burglaries are opportunistic. Burglars look
for clues that tell them
your home is just waiting to be robbed.
They will compare
potential benefits and risks before committing the crime.
If a thief can tell that there is something of value in
your house and that there is
little chance of getting caught, guess who is going to have their home burglarized!
What are some things a thief looks
for in
making his assessment? Most of them are
obvious, but we, being so
busy, tend to ignore them Just by taking a few simple precautions you can make
your house less appetizing for a burglar. Some
examples are:
Stop leaving money or jewelry on the kitchen table or on the TV. Too many of
us do it be honest! Its in plain view for anyone who comes to your door or looks in your window (and believe me,
burglars are
experts at
doing this).
How about disposing of the box that your new, expensive plasma TV came in do you put the box outside in the trash for
all to see? Why
not cut the box
up and put it into a bag. Yes, this takes a little time, but look at the possible alternative!
How often do you leave your garage door open for all the world to see your tools or other possessions? Even if you are in a great neighborhood, there are still people who
ride around all day just looking for potential victims. If there is no car in the garage,
what does that tell them you arent
home! Keep your garage door closed!
And
speaking of garages, if you use a padlock for your garage door, always keep it locked when the door is
open, especially if you insist on leaving it open all day and/or all night. Burglars can remove the padlock, have a key made and then replace the padlock where it was. Guess whos going to
visit you some night
Just another thought Discuss with your kids the importance of home security and tell them not to brag to their friends about how much money there is in the house or about their mothers jewelry. We all tell our children not to speak to strangers. But how about their friends? Thieves come in any size and age. Dont make your home a potential classroom for burglars.
Why do a burglars work for him? Just by taking a few simple precautions you can discourage a robber from
targeting your house.

Work at Home - How to Choose a Home Based Business and Make Money Without Getting Scammed Part 2
ncreasingly people
work out of their
home to supplement their income every single day.
Home based businesses offer
a level freedom
and flexibility unmatched by traditional means.
This is a $430 Billion a year industry, that's more than
the consumer industry, food industry and the pharmaceutical industry combined. By the time
you finish reading this sentence someone new would have entered into a Home Based Business venture.
Don't buy into the hype,
you will fail unless you go into this with a concise plan of
action, the right mindset and start making the smart decisions from beginning. You've all heard of doing it right the first
time. This begins with picking a work
at home job or home based business opportunity that fits you,
not the one claiming to
make the
most money in the
shortest period of time. I would know, I've
been down that road.
To start you out in the right direction
here are a few work at home offers to avoid. Beware of paid survey and data
entry scams. These seem to be all the rage
these days. They promise an easy buck of
course, but the facts are that very few people make any money filling out surveys and
those that do make money make very little.
Here's how paid surveys work in a nut shell. You are paying for a list of companies
who supposedly would pay you $1-$15 for filling out surveys which are sent to you by email. The companies on these
lists are just as easily
found by doing a search engine query yourself. You now have to sign up with each individual
company on the list which does take a lot of time. Each company wants in-depth
demographic data about you and your household
under the guise of only sending you surveys you qualify for. You start receiving surveys almost instantly, though not all have an offer of
cash most are points for various sweepstakes. The surveys that do offer
cash initially would more than often enough claim that you
did not quality for the cash after you filled out the survey and may
then offer you points
towards prizes and such.
Just about now you would be wondering why you had to fill out the demographic data
if they were not going to send you
qualified surveys. That question would soon be answered when your telephone starts
ringing off the hook with sales calls conveniently geared towards you and your lifestyle, along with your junk mail intake going through the roof.
Another heavily promoted scam is data entry jobs. The technique
itself is not the scam but more the language used to promote it. These are promoted as get rich by doing
simple data entry; this is far from the truth. These Data Entry Jobs are simply affiliate
programs, you are told to write ads promoting various
products and
services in hopes of getting a commission from any possible sales. This has gotten
so bad that Google
among other
payment providers have been actively canceling owners and promoters of so called "data entry jobs" from their system.

American Bulldog - The Facts Every Owner Of This Dog Breed Should Know
Descended from
the English Bulldog,
the American Bulldog was nearly extinct
after World War II. Thanks
to the efforts
of John D. Summerville, this
breed has returned from
the edge of extinction
and flourished in
America. This working dog has been described as
fiercely loyal,
an excellent hunter,
and wonderful family pet. In fact, some
American Bulldogs are known
for their extraordinary acts of bravery
and courage when defending their masters.
There are two
types of American Bulldog:
Classic (also known as Johnson or Bully) and
Standard (also known as Scott or Performance); however, many of today's American Bulldogs
tend to be a combination of both. Standards tend to be shorter and
stockier, causing them to sometimes be mistaken for their cousin the
Pit Bull,
but otherwise Classic and Standard American Bulldogs look
similar to one another. American Bulldogs are primarily white though some may have patches of brindle or red.
Their coats are short and wiry, feeling bristly and rough to the
touch. American Bulldogs require
relatively little maintenance thanks to this short coat, and only
need the occasional bath and regular brushing with a stiff bristle brush. Their strong jaws give their
heads a boxy and strong-looking appearance.
Male American Bulldogs will reach an average height of 22 to
27 inches and average weight of 75 to 125
pounds. Females will reach average heights of 20 to 25 inches and weights of 60 to 100 pounds. American Bulldogs will live,
on average,
16 years. English Bulldogs were bred as working dogs that
helped herd cattle and the American Bulldog retains some of these characteristics, particularly the strong jaw and equally strong personality. Though American Bulldogs are known as fierce
protectors of their properties and
masters (making them excellent
guard and watch dogs), they are very gentle and good with
both children and other family pets.
However, an American Bulldog
is sometimes unaware of its own strength and for this reason, children should always be closely supervised when playing with this breed. In general, American Bulldogs
can be difficult to train, as they are stubborn, but once consistently trained, will obey. American Bulldogs are suited for
apartment life, as they tend to be relatively inactive indoors. However, they should be
exercised at least once a day. Some American Bulldogs are prone to hip displaysia, but otherwise, are a healthy breed of dog.
There is a website that has great information on American Bulldogs and most other breeds of dogs. It has details that
pertain to a dog breeds health, grooming, living conditions, best food choices and more, the website is called: Dog And Cat Facts, and can be found at this url:

Is a Chihuahua the Right Dog for You?
The
answer to this question lies in
getting to know more
about these little dogs.
Chihuahua dogs are the smallest
of all breeds. Most weigh in
at 6 pounds
or less
and they only stand about 6 to 9 inches tall.
They come in a variety of colors and have both long and short hair.
Understanding the aspects of a Chihuahuas personality and needs can help a person determine
if this is the right breed of dog
for them.
A Chihuahua is a delicate looking dog.
It is born
with a
soft spot,
like humans, but in a Chihuahua the soft
spot may never close.
They are very energetic and love to play. If
left alone a
chihuahua may tear
into anything
they can rip apart, like toilet paper
or other trash. They have a natural
tendency to become attached to one or two people whom they are become
very loyal and protective. Chihuahua dogs love attention. They also have a long life span,
up to 16 years. Due to
their small body size they are
not very good at tolerating cold temperatures. They also require minimal grooming, only needing one bath per month and an occasional brushing. They can be
hard to train, but once trained are very well behaved.
These traits of a chihuahua make him
ideal for some owners and
not so
ideal for others. They are great for
those who live in an apartment or other smaller,
restricted area as they do not need a large space for exercise.
They are not good with children because of their delicate and nervous nature. Also they do not get along with other breeds of dogs, so a person with other pets would not make a good
owner for Chihuahua puppies.
The best owner for a chihuahua dog is an adult without other pets or children, who can devote plenty of attention to it.
